Drawing of what appears to be a preserved two-headed Velociraptor from the upcoming film Jurassic World Rebirth, created with Sharpie permanent marker, Prismacolor Nupastels, and Faber-Castell pastel pencils on 8 x 6in Strathmore toned tan paper.
Though it is shown too briefly in the trailer to discern a lot of detail, the general anatomy of the Velociraptor appears very reminiscent of its predecessors in the original Jurassic Park film, perhaps now with tiger stripes inspired by the novel. Of course, that representation still includes a number of anatomical inaccuracies (the size being somewhere between Deinonychus and Utahraptor, the pronated wrists, the lack of feathers, etc.), but it is such a beautiful and iconic design that I would be disappointed to see any significant changes to Ingen's nude Velociraptors. We finally got a feathered Pyroraptor and Moros in Jurassic World Dominion. For now, that will have to be enough. Regardless, Velociraptor is an impressive animal, and I am excited to see it featured once more on the big screen.
As for the upcoming film, all I can say is...
Please be good! Please be good! Please be good!
