Drawing of a pair of Titanosaurus from the upcoming film Jurassic World Rebirth, created with Prismacolor Nupastels and Faber-Castell pastel pencils on 8 x 6in Strathmore toned tan paper.
Overall, I like the design of the Titanosaurus. It is a new addition to the Jurassic World films, and it seems to combine anatomical features from a variety of sauropods rather than replicating a single genus. Given the limited representation of Titanosaurus in the fossil record, and its traditional status as a wastebasket taxon, the level of artistic license applied is quite reasonable and maintains a general aesthetic that is consistent with its other sauropod predecessors. Sauropods are impressive animals, and I am excited to see Titanosaurus featured on the big screen.
As for the upcoming film, all I can say is...
Please be good! Please be good! Please be good!
